This week the American people watched as President and Mrs. Obama and their entourage journeyed to Copenhagen to appear before the OIC in an attempt to persuade them to hold the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Chicago. This trip cost us, the American taxpayers, well over a million dollars. It was a futile attempt to do a little pay-back to the Chicago political machine that helped put him in office. At least that's what it looks like to me.
This particular dog-and-pony show didn't play well in Copenhagen. The United States and Chicago didn't make the first cut. Ouch! But what did our Dear Leader expect? He has been on a systematic beat-down of the United States ever since he took office. Did he really think the rest of the world didn't know that this desire for the Olympics to be held in Chicago was, in reality, all about him?
We should celebrate this failure by the Salesman-in-Chief, for the cost to us would have been much greater than the million plus we paid for the trip.
