Final NC District 11 Primary Results

The votes are all counted and in the end, Dr. Dan lost to Jeff Miller. We just didn't get enough people to the polls.

Miller seems to be a good man. I can't fault him on his decency. I'm just not sure about his ability to stand up to the Washington machine.

It boils down to this: here in the NC 11th District we can choose between Shuler and Miller. Pelosi's lap dog or a nice guy who won the primary because he was well known locally and was chosen by the good-ole-boy network.

Yeah, right.

North Carolina Primary Today

I and my hubby will soon be off to cast our votes in the North Carolina Primary. If you are a North Carolina Resident, I hope you will be doing the same at some point today.

This is our opportunity to make our voices heard in a way that our leaders will understand. In the state primaries, we have an opportunity to get candidates we can support in the fall elections. Send the best men and women out to challenge the incumbents in Washington and on state and local levels.

We vote in North Carolina's 11th Congressional District. We are voting for Dr. Dan Eichenbaum in the congressional race.

Where ever you are, vote in your state primaries. Choose candidates who hold your values. Lets have a revolution at the ballot box this year. If we elect the right people maybe we can avoid the next logical step in regaining our freedom: a revolution in the streets.

EichenBOMB Washington - Great Patriot Money Bomb

On April 18th 1775 At the start of the War of American Independence, US patriot Paul Revere rode from Charleston to Lexington, warning people that British troops were advancing….

Liberty Candidates are letting us know that we need to win our American Independence back with Limited Government, Personal Responsibility, Individual Freedom, Fiscal Restraint and a Free Market Economy Based on Sound Money.

Dr. Dan is standing for election to Congress in NC 11 as a Constitutionally based, principled Republican. He is running a truly grassroots campaign, unencumbered by special interests and party politics. As such, When Dr. Dan gets to Washington, he will have no favors to repay, and he will be beholden to no one but the United States Constitution and his constituents.

Dr. Dan is working very hard to get through the primary and then it's on to the general in November to beat Shuler. We are asking all Dr. Dan supporters to please dig deep in their pockets and contribute as much to the campaign as you can afford to contribute. Every penny counts and will be put to good use in taking our country back!

Dr. Dan Eichenbaum Candidate for NC District 11

For some time now I have been investigating the candidates for our congressional district, NC 11th. The field of candidates for the Republican primary is huge. Whoever wins the primary will run against incumbent Heath Schuler, a Democrat.

Schuler has broken contact with the people of North Carolina. A self-proclaimed "Blue Dog" Democrat, his actions are anything but conservative. Like so many other democratic congressmen, he has refused to hold town hall meetings, and does not reply to our calls, emails, faxes, or letters. Instead of Blue Dog we in Western North Carolina now refer to Schuler as Nancy Pelosi's "Lap Dog".

Upon considering the candidates who filed for the Republican primary, I came away with the impression that most were RINO's, and one simply does not know what he is doing and that all would immediately fold to the pressures in Washington.

Only one seemed to address the concerns I and my friends and neighbors have about what is happening to our country. Only one seemed to have a plan and solutions that were different. That man is Dr. Dan Eichenbaum.

I attended a town hall meeting yesterday at which Dr. Eichenbaum spoke about the problems we face. He spoke about solutions to these problems and admitted they would be painful. He has studied the issues and has a plan for getting our country back on track and restoring our Constitutional rights. During the question and answer period, Dr. Eichenbaum gave honest, straight foreword answers. He looked us in the eyes.

I had the opportunity to talk with Dr. Eichenbaum one-on-one before the meeting started. He was gracious and kind to both my husband and me. He answered our questions honestly. He is a man I can support. He is a candidate I can endorse.

You can learn more about Dr. Dan Eichenbaum here. His campaign is truly grass-roots. There is no heaping war chest of cash such as Heath Schuler has at his disposal. He needs donations and feet on the ground. He needs you, no matter where you live. We must replace the incumbents' in Washington. Here in the NC 11th District, I believe Dr. Eichenbaum is the right man for the job.

Local Candidate for Congress Dr. Dan Eichenbaum

The North Carolina 11th District Republican Primary is going to be an interesting affair. I plan to ask questions of the candidates and post their answers here. At this point in time, this blog is not endorsing any candidate. I'm looking them over carefully, as we should all do our representatives, no matter where we live.

My first question was to Dr. Dan Eichenbaum regarding his plan to eliminate Social Security. As a person nearing retirement this is a topic I will approach with all local candidates. After several days I received this email from Dr. Eichenbaum, posted in its entirety:

I am concerned that Social Security will be financially unable to meet its future obligations. Like you and I, millions of Americans worked for many years, paying into the Social Security system with the reasonable expectation of receiving the retirement benefits promised by the federal government. Instead of investing this money taken from hard-working Americans, career politicians spent our savings to create and fund entitlement programs whose primary purpose is to buy votes so they can remain in office.

Social Security is a ponzi scheme so massive that it makes Bernie Madoff look like a two-bit con artist. In fact, the Supreme Court ruling that "approved" Social Security is one of Professor Levy's "Dirty Dozen" – the twelve worst Supreme Court decisions in our nation's history. In a constitutional and moral sense, I do not believe money should be taken from one party for the "security" of others. Furthermore, the entire system is on the verge of going bankrupt and must be corrected. It is imperative that we use free market principles, without government intervention, to solve this critical issue.

In my opinion, out of fairness, current Social Security recipients should stay on the program until it sunsets. Workers who have met the 40-quarter work requirement would also remain fully vested. A gradual reduction in benefits would only affect those who were still working toward the 40-quarter goal. Future retirees would be allowed tax free retirement and health savings accounts to take care of their specific health and retirement needs. My best guess is that such a phase-out program would require about 20 years to accomplish, giving all concerned the opportunity to make the changes necessary to plan for retirement. Most importantly, in accordance with the free market principles that I believe in, the entire Social Security program must be administered privately and each account must be owned by the individual retiree.
